Description
- A poetic extravaganza in Madhubani style of painting on the threads of silk from Bhagalpur. These hand painted stoles of artistic expressions are sure to make conversations. Madhubani painting evolved from a traditional practice of wall art to contemporary iterations on canvas and fabric. Originating from Mithila region in Bihar, the traditional works were done with natural colours and twigs, however the modern expression on fabric involves fabric and acrylic colours. The motifs draw inspiration from local flora and fauna like lotus, fishes, peacocks, trees and also has some geometric patterns.
