Prashant Singh (FOUNDER)
A critical thinker and innovative leader with over 30 years of industry experience, including 20+ years in the banking sector and a decade in entrepreneurship. Prior to establishing The India Art Investment Company in 2013, Prashant built a successful career in the BFSI industry in India and the Middle East, holding key senior management positions.
His deep-seated passion for creating “good spaces” in homes and offices, coupled with a vision to impact lives at the grassroots level, inspired him to venture into the art and craft domain 15 years ago. His mission became to promote Indian culture and create sustainable livelihoods for artisans, whom he views as the true custodians of Indian identity. His success mantra is simple: “work for excellence, and everything else will fall into place.”
He is also a renowned connoisseur and proud owner of one of the widest collections of original, signed cricket memorabilia. His dedicated efforts have earned him significant recognition, including being conferred as one of the “Top 10 Leaders in Art, Craft & Design” by CEO Insights in 2023 and receiving the “Sustainable Business Excellence Award” for the Precedential Awards 2023.


Aditya Kumar (CO-FOUNDER)
With extensive experience in the banking sector across leading domestic and multinational conglomerates, Aditya Kumar brings strategic insight and precision to address the deep-rooted challenges faced by India’s artisan communities. His work focuses on empowering artisans to evolve from marginalized karigars into creators of premium, globally relevant products.
At the core of his mission lies a bold vision—to bridge the gap between grassroots craftsmanship and the aspirations of Gen Z consumers, many of whom remain unaware of the rich artistic heritage of their own country. Aditya aims to redefine the perception of Indian crafts: not as objects of charity, but as symbols of premium quality, cultural pride, and contemporary lifestyle.
He is also the Founder of Metachamp Associates, a consultancy dedicated to enabling purpose-driven ventures and sustainable business models.


Smita Mathur (CO-FOUNDER)
A visionary entrepreneur and a driving force behind Haath Ka Bana, passionately dedicated to empowering artisans and promoting sustainable livelihoods. She brings nearly a decade of expertise in corporate storytelling, public relations, and marketing, which she has skillfully channeled into celebrating handmade artistry and supporting its creators.
Over the last 12 years, Smita has played a pivotal role in Haath Ka Bana’s success by leveraging her skills in product innovation, marketing, and business development to establish the platform as a vital bridge between skilled artisans and consumers. Her unwavering commitment to sustainable design and community empowerment embodies the principles of modern social entrepreneurship.
Beyond Haath Ka Bana, Smita actively mentors Prerana Trust, an NGO focused on uplifting traditional artisans, craftsmen, and weavers across India, ensuring their voices are amplified and they receive well-deserved recognition and opportunities.


Anugraha Mathur (CO-FOUNDER)
A dynamic entrepreneur and a growth mindset, Anugraha Mathur brings over a decade of experience in sales, business development, and retail management. As Co-founder, he has been pivotal in transforming creative potential into scalable business opportunities. His strength lies in building businesses from the ground up—designing robust market entry strategies, nurturing strategic alliances, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
With leadership experience across reputed brands such as Landmark Group (Max), Mahindra Retail, Giordano, and Hidesign, Anugraha combines corporate discipline with entrepreneurial agility. His foresight and hands-on leadership continue to shape Haath Ka Bana into a purpose-driven brand that bridges Indian craftsmanship with modern markets.
Anugraha holds an MBA from ICFAI University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, grounding his creative pursuits in analytical precision.
